This policy explains what personal data I collect when you use this website or book a call, why I collect it, who I share it with, and your rights under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who is the data controller
Alex Edge, trading as The Profit Edge. Contact: hello@theaceone.com. I am the data controller for the personal information collected through this site.
2. What data I collect
When you book the Stand Fast Call (via Calendly): your name, email address, any phone number or details you choose to provide, and your answers to any pre-call questions.
During the call: notes I take on your situation, goals, and what we discuss. These are stored privately and used only to follow up on your engagement.
If we work together: additional context you share during the mentorship, billing information processed by my payment provider, and records of our calls and messages.
From the website itself: standard server logs collected by Vercel (the host), including IP address, browser/device type, and pages visited. This is anonymised aggregate data used for security and performance.
3. Why I collect it (lawful basis)
To deliver the call and any mentorship you book — lawful basis: performance of a contract.
To follow up with you after the call about working together — lawful basis: legitimate interests, balanced against your reasonable expectations as someone who booked a sales call.
To send marketing emails (e.g. tips, future offers) — lawful basis: your consent, given at the time you opt in. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing me.
To meet legal and tax obligations — lawful basis: legal obligation.
4. Who I share it with
I use a small number of trusted third-party tools to run the business. Each is a "data processor" acting on my instructions:
Calendly — scheduling. Stores your name, email, and booking details.
Vercel — site hosting and standard server logs.
Cloudflare — content delivery for video and assets.
Email and payment providers — confirmed in writing if you proceed to a paid engagement.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK (e.g. in the US). Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework).
I do not sell your data, and I do not share it with advertising networks.
5. How long I keep it
Call bookings and notes: kept while we are in active conversation and for up to 24 months after our last contact, unless you ask me to delete sooner.
Mentorship records and billing: retained for at least 6 years after the engagement ends, to meet UK tax and accounting obligations.
Marketing list entries: retained until you unsubscribe.
Server logs: retained for a short period by the host (typically 30 days).
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
Ask what personal data I hold about you (right of access).
Correct anything that's wrong (right of rectification).
Ask me to delete your data (right of erasure), subject to legal retention requirements.
Ask me to restrict how I use your data while a query is resolved.
Object to processing based on legitimate interests.
Receive a copy of your data in a portable format.
Withdraw any consent at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@theaceone.com. I will respond within one month.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
This site itself does not currently set marketing or analytics cookies. Embedded third-party tools (such as Calendly when you open the booking widget) may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
8. Children
The Services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided data to me, please email hello@theaceone.com and I will delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the latest version. Material changes affecting existing contacts will be communicated by email.
